A SOUTH BAY FAMILY BUSINESS SINCE 1987
John Allen has been around plumbing his entire life. His father Emmett started in the plumbing business in 1957, founded Allen Plumbing in 1973, and renamed it R.J. Plumbing Inc. in 1987 — the “R” and “J” standing for his two sons, Robert and John.
John grew up in Redondo Beach and completed a four-year union trade school, earning his Los Angeles Union Journeyman Plumbing Certificate — learning everything from welding to rigging alongside commercial and residential plumbing.
GIVING BACK: In 2006, R.J. Plumbing proudly participated in an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build in Redondo Beach, helping provide a home for Officer Ripatti and her family.
